Once we’ve received your request, we’ll pass it straight through to your Landlord to decide on the next steps. If you’ve got an issue that can’t wait (think urgent, not just inconvenient), you can flag it through our chat service. We’ll help you work out whether it needs after-hours attention,  and guide you on how to manage the situation safely in the meantime — both for you and the property.

After hours emergency maintenance?

An issue will only be classified as an emergency if it poses an immediate danger to a person or the rental property itself. Failure to address the problem promptly could result in property damage or injury. Additionally, any fault or damage that compromises the safety or security of the premises may be considered an emergency.

PLUMBING SERVICES
Not all plumbing issues require urgent attention. Dripping taps and hot water disruptions can be inconvenient, but they will be addressed within standard response times. Only cases meeting emergency criteria will be escalated. If you need help assessing the urgency, please use our online chat service HERE to report and navigate the issue. If a plumbing issue could cause property damage or pose a safety risk, and you cannot isolate it, an after-hours plumber may be needed. If you believe an emergency plumber is required, please call Platinum Plumbing on 0400 440 737.


No Hot Water

If you are experiencing hot water issues that do not involve leaks or bursts, please lodge a maintenance request HERE .


Leaking or Burst Pipes

If your hot water unit is leaking or has burst, isolate the mains water supply or the hot water unit itself to prevent damage and reduce water waste. Blocked or Broken Toilet

Assess the urgency using our online chat service HERE. If you only have one toilet available on your property, and a plumber is needed immediately, contact Platinum Plumbing.

Gas Leak

Turn off the gas supply at the mains to prevent further risks. Use our online chat service HERE for guidance on assessing the urgency and to report the leak. If emergency attendance is required, contact Platinum Plumbing.

Power Outages

Before assuming an electrical issue requires an electrician, check your fuse box to isolate the power and rule out a supply-related outage. SA Power Networks may be conducting works in your area or managing a known issue affecting local customers. Visit SA Power Networks website to check for CURRENT POWER OUTAGES. Electrical Safety Hazards

Some electrical issues go beyond simple power outages and require immediate attention. If you experience any of the following, take action:
  • Exposed wiring or sparking outlets – Turn off power at the fuse box and avoid contact.
  • Burning smells or overheating appliances – Disconnect appliances immediately.
  • Repeated circuit failures – If fuses or breakers are tripping frequently, there may be an underlying issue.
